Klara was definitely in the right hands. While Moira took Klara to her suite, Calvin headed back the way towards the stairs and took a separate hallway that went to his office. Silas had already left the till and cigar box on his desk, and he closed the door behind him with a soft click before he walked to the dest, removing his hat, and jacket, and leaving them on the coat rack. He ran a hand through his limp brown hair and sighed, wincing as he reached down ad rubbed his leg. Something he usually hid, was how much it ached after a while, and the magic he used to keep himself completely upright darn near exhausted him.
It’d already been a long night, and the Darrows made it all the worse. He reached into his coat pocket pulling out the folded-up deed to the Sixthpence inn, and walked to his desk, unlocking the bottom drawer and then opening up the false bottom where he had files for the “family.” Things, that should anything happen to Calvin, go to them. Shares, deeds, bank accounts, whatever they would need. They would be taken care of. He set the deed on top of the stack before he locked it back up and then sank down into his chair with a heavy sigh, leaning forward to rest his face against the hard surface of the desk as he felt himself finally relax, and his magic no longer was in use.
Meanwhile on the other side of the upper floor….
Moira led Klara down a long hall with multiple doors. Her heels clicked on the marbled floors until they were nearly at the end and she came to a door that was on their right-hand side. “You can stay with me until you figure out what you’re doing, Love." She told her gently. She opened the door and pushed it open, revealing a large suite. There was a sitting area and a door that would lead to the back bedroom as well as a side washroom. The space was large and spacious, and Moira had decorated it in cream and white hues, with splashes of bright color. Fresh flowers were in a vase on the table and she ushered Klara in.
“Alright let's get you a bath so you can smell nice and fresh, and I’ll find you something to wear.” She told her. Moira headed to the washroom, lighting candles as she went. The sound of water getting prepped would fill the air before Moira came back out, and waved for her to go in. “Do you need help with anything?” She asked her. She was a bit of a busy body and didn’t hold still very long. With a sudden big sigh, she walked towards Klara, and the taller woman would find herself suddenly pulled into one of Moira’s hugs. It was gentle but surprisingly firm for the shorter woman. “I haven’t a clue, where Calvin rescued you from Doll, but I can tell you you’re safe now. He’ll take good care of you just like he did the rest of us.” She told her, giving her a gentle pat on the back before she let her go.
